Entry into the drone business: SEITZ advises Deutsche Telekom on the establishment of a joint venture with DFS Deutsche Flugsicherung for the drone market

Deutsche Telekom AG and DFS Deutsche Flugsicherung GmbH have announced the formation of their joint venture Droniq GmbH.

Deutsche Telekom AG and DFS Deutsche Flugsicherung GmbH have announced the formation of their joint venture Droniq GmbH. Droniq provides a technical platform for the detection of drones that will enable drones to fly outside the pilot's field of vision in the future.

The core of Droniq's product offering is a UAS Traffic Management System (UTM), which processes the position data of the drones and displays them together with the location data of the manned aircraft.

Initially, Droniq will concentrate on the German market. A gradual expansion into other European countries is planned. Droniq's priority target groups are primarily commercial pilots from the infrastructure, surveying and agricultural sectors who intend to fly drones out of sight. They also include police, fire and rescue forces as well as users from the general aviation sector. Droniq's portfolio already includes training courses for drone pilots as well as individual consulting services.

Seitz provided comprehensive advice to Deutsche Telekom AG on the joint venture agreement and the establishment of the Droniq joint venture.
