The appointments will take effect on January 1, 2021. Prof. Dr. Thomas Kania, founding partner at SEITZ, is convinced: "With the partner appointments, the firm once again demonstrates its solid, sustainable growth in all areas. We look forward to starting a challenging, exciting 2021 with the new partners."

Sabine Schwarz has been part of SEITZ's labor law team since 2015. Previously, she worked for several years in a large commercial law firm in Munich and in a law firm specializing in labor law in Düsseldorf. She has extensive experience in providing employment law and strategic support for major reorganizations and restructurings and the associated negotiations with works councils and trade unions. In recent years, she has played a key role in advising and supporting the restructuring of Karstadt/Kaufhof and the harmonization of working conditions.

Christian Achtmann joined SEITZ in 2010 and is part of the labor law department. In addition to advising and representing companies in all areas of individual and collective employment law, Christian Achtmann has continuously established and expanded a practice in the area of dispute resolution in recent years. In this context, he focuses on advising companies as well as company managers and supervisory bodies on all issues of directors' and officers' liability and D&O insurance and represents them in major liability proceedings. In addition, he has special expertise in the area of compensation of board members and works council members as well as corporate compliance.

"Both are not only excellent lawyers, but also long-standing pillars of our firm who, as former competitive athletes, stand for team spirit and human interaction in our firm in addition to the necessary assertiveness," says Prof. Dr. Thomas Kania.

Werner Wolf joined SEITZ in 2014 and becomes a partner in tax law. Previously, Werner Wolf worked for several years at the tax authorities in the area of taxation of corporations and partnerships. Werner Wolf advises companies in all industries on national and international tax law. His focus is on corporate tax law, in particular on M&A transactions as well as on investment projects. In addition to assisting with national and cross-border corporate acquisitions and restructurings, Werner Wolf provides advice in the context of tax audits as well as declaration advice, in particular for private clients.

"We are pleased that Werner has developed into a proven pillar in the tax law team - both professionally and personally. Since joining the firm in 2014, he has continuously improved his qualifications and is now responsible for key tax advisory mandates," said Nils Kröber, SEITZ's leading partner in tax law.
