During the sale process for the GEA Heat Exchangers Segment by the GEA Group to financial investor, Triton, Seitz comprehensively advised the GEA Heat Exchangers Segment in relation to the demerger from the GEA Group.

During the sale process for the GEA Heat Exchangers Segment by the GEA Group to financial investor, Triton, Seitz comprehensively advised the GEA Heat Exchangers Segment in relation to the demerger from the GEA Group.

GEA Heat Exchangers is a segment within the internationally active GEA Group. The segment, headquartered in Bochum, bundles all activities in the area of manufacturing industrial heat exchangers and generated a total turnover of EUR 1.5 billion in 2013 with approx. 7,300 employees.

In the middle of April 2014, the segment was successfully sold to the financial investor, Triton. The company was valued at around EUR 1.3 billion upon sale. The private equity house EQT was also in the running for the division alongside Triton. Financial investors KKR, Bain Capital and Onex as well as the industrial service provider Bilfinger also expressed interest. The acceptance of Triton's offer still has to be approved by the competent antitrust authorities. (Source: www.juve.de)
