Dr. Maximilian Otto Houf

Maximilian Otto Houf advises start-ups, established companies and their managing directors on all issues of commercial and corporate law, drafting and negotiation of commercial contracts and M&A transactions. Another focus of his work is advising family businesses in contentious corporate disputes. Here he asserts or defends against claims for injunctive relief and damages for breach of shareholder obligations. In addition to contentious disputes, Maximilian Houf also works closely with clients to resolve conflicts within the shareholders.

Maximilian Houf studied at the University of Cologne, where he received his doctorate under Prof. Dr. Dr. h. c. Preis on the topic "Possibilities and Limits of Contract Drafting in limited-term employment agreements". He was awarded his doctorate in 2021.

Before joining Seitz, he worked as a research assistant at two major English law firms in the areas of employment law, restructuring and data protection law.

Maximilian Houf has also published articles on employment contracts and sports law.
